Those Baby Blues

The new Baby Blues BBQ in WeHo has a great happy hour. Weekdays from 1 pm - 8 pm all well drinks, tap beers and house wines are $3. Chicken wings, fries, hush puppies, and fried green tomatoes are $5.

Have a job? Their happy hour is also available Saturday and Sunday from 12 pm - 4 pm.

While you're there splurge and order a slice of pie. It's delicious.

Boho Happy Hour

The BoHo restaurant replaces Charcoal at the Arclight Hollywood Theatre Complex. Stop in Monday thru Thursday from 4 pm - 7 pm for half price draft beer and pizza. These deals are available at the bar and in the main dining room. I favor the Margherita pizza, but the Bianca is worth a try as well. Both are delicious and large enough to share with a friend.

Border Grill Happy Hour

Been craving a margarita lately?  Hit up the Border Grill in Santa Monica .  Margaritas are half price and tacos are $3 a piece.  Happy Hour runs Monday - Friday 4 pm - 7 pm, and for those of you that still have jobs, Friday and Saturday after 10 pm.

Japanese BBQ Happy Hour

Those of you who live close to Gyu-Kaku are in luck.  The Japanese BBQ restaurant is offering unbelievable Happy Hour deals.  While the specials differ in each location, the Sherman Oaks, Beverly Hills, and West L.A. locations are offering 99 cent draft beers and half price appetizers. Each location defines Happy Hour differently, so check here for the specifics.

Taste in West Hollywood is offering a brand new happy hour. Tuesday through Sunday, from 4 pm - 6 pm, Taste is offering $3 beer, $4 Martinis, $4 Well Drinks, $4 Pizza, $4 Mac and Cheese and much more. And if you happen to be unavailable in the afternoon, don't fret. Taste is also offering amazing deals on Sunday night prix fixe meals, and half price bottles of wine on Monday.

Lola's on Fairfax offers one of the best happy hour deals in town.  Between 5:30 & 7:30, 7 days a week, they offer $5 martinis and $5.50 appetizer specials.  

Not into martinis?  They offer a $5 special on margaritas, Kir Royale, capaernias, and all house wines.  If $5 is too steep, they offer $3 Bud on tap and $3 Woodchick pear cider.  

Appetizers include mini-burgers, pizza, short rib tacos, chicken spring rolls and many others.

It's a mixed up muddled up shook up world, except for Lola(s).

One perk to being unemployed: Happy Hour.  I will bring you a weekly review of the best drinks, deals, and meals out there.

The first bargain of the year is at Hamburger Hamlet.  They offer half price drinks and appetizers in the bar from 3 pm - 7 pm.   The plates are regular size - not scaled down versions of their normal portions.  I recommend the Mediterranean plate and 3 Cheese BBQ Chicken Quesadilla.
